Our family pets

Have you ever seen our pets?? I guess you might have seen Bella, our rat, in one of my very first posts - about sneaking a family of rats into my mom and dad's house to hand feed them after their mother died. Well, we had to keep at least one of them to ourselves and Bella won our hearts. We also have a guinea pig, but I don't think in the 2 years that we have had her, that we've taken many pictures. She was a gift to me for Valentine's day from my sweet hubby.

Now that the kids are in school, they have to put together "All About Me" posters and one of the categories is pets.

So, since we had to take some pictures for school (and I thought it might be wise to have some documentation of our animals for the kids if the unforeseen ever happened), we are now introducing Bella and Lilly(better late than never):

Fun Friday

After dropping the kids off to school on Friday, I got to have a day to myself - something that does not happen very often. I was so excited, with several things planned for the day. Here's how it went: Lunch with my friend Leah at Caffe Capri in Bryan, TX - AAAAHHHHH. I was really excited to get to meet her for lunch and to top it off, it was at one of my FAVORITE places to eat. Since we moved from College Station, I haven't had a chance to go back there, so Leah was nice enough to join me. If you live close by to Bryan - GO VISIT. I always order the cajun tortellini which is oh-so-yummy. Leah and I had a great time catching up and then I got to go see her house which is in the process of being built. It is going to be beautiful and they were so sweet to build a room on especially for when Chad and I come to visit. Awww. :)

Then, I got to go get my haircut at the best salon on the planet - Celebrity Spa & Boutique - also in the College Station area, by the best hair stylist EVER! And she just happens to be Leah's sister - Laura. I didn't get a picture of Laura, but here's my haircut! :)

When I was ready to leave the salon, the rains came down and the floods came up and my beautiful, freshly straightened hair shuddered at the thought of the rain. My sweet friend Laura helped me out and gave me a special hair covering for FREE, since she had worked so hard! Look how beautiful...

Thank you so much Laura!!! I love the haircut and this lovely cap saved my hair.

And the day wasn't over yet....I got to go book club after that and spend some quality time with my book club friends. Even though I only read through 3 chapters, they still let me stay and we managed to have a good meeting nonetheless. :) I wonder if the pie I brought had anything to do with it?? :)
